Evan Thomoff
Partner & Vice President
I am a Colorado native and have been in the construction industry my entire life. My love for paint started at a young age when I was working for my parents’ family business. I was fascinated by the process and transformations you could create.
I have managed thousands of projects with one goal in mind, exceptional customer service. As part of the ownership team, I’ve loved helping build and develop a brand that our employees and customers trust and respect.
We pride ourselves on our values and our premium painting exceptional experience guarantee. That’s why Helix is more than just a place to work, it’s a home. When not working you can find me on the slopes or water. I also love cheering Avs – hoping for another Cup!
Lex Martin
Senior Project Manager
I have lived in Colorado since I was two years old and have been a part of 1000+ house painting projects.
I entered the painting world with a brush and roller in my hand at 15 years old. When I decided to make it a career, I got into management and have now landed at Helix.
Helix is a company I am proud to represent due to the morals and ethics we practice every single day. I love a good “before-and-after” transformation, and the look on a face when expectations are exceeded. I take pride in supplying a premium painting experience for all I take care of and partner with. I strive to educate and accommodate all needs to deliver a wonderful product.
When I am not at work, I enjoy spending time with my little guy and wife. You can also always find me on the golf course.
Kyle Irvin
Project Manager
Born and raised in West Virginia, my love for the mountains and the outdoors led me to Colorado two years ago. With a background in Art & Design, I’ve always been captivated by how paint can transform any surface—from a small canvas to an entire home. My painting career began in 2020 as a fine finish painter in a custom cabinet shop, where I honed my technical skills. Over time, I transitioned into management, overseeing hundreds of projects.
At Helix, our mission is simple: to provide a premium painting experience that exceeds customer expectations—every time. I’m proud to be part of a team of honest, hardworking professionals who value building lasting relationships and fostering an environment of trust, respect, and excellence.
When I’m not working, you’ll find me in the mountains, exploring new trails with my dog, Zuko, or carving up the slopes.
Vanessa Homuth
Founder
Born and raised in the suburbs of New York City, I moved to Colorado with my family in 2017.
After managing renovations on a portfolio of rental properties and personal home remodels, I saw an opportunity to start a painting company that would elevate the standards for the contracting industry. I founded Helix with the mission of creating a values-oriented company driven to provide premium painting with an exceptional experience.
After more than seven years in business, I now find joy in nurturing a team of dedicated employees as we search for new ways to grow and improve each year.
Outside of work, I cherish spending quality time with my husband and two children. On weekends, we can be found golfing, skiing and cheering on our favorite Denver teams.
